Day 12
===
[00:00:00] You officially made it to the final stop on our Parents in Clarity and Purpose Roadmap for 2024. Congratulations. We will keep this final stop short and sweet, but it's still a valuable final piece of the puzzle. Let's do a quick recap. We've gotten clear on our why, our values, our priorities, our vision.
We've created SMART goals. We've learned from both our challenges and our successes in the past. We've strengthened our walk with God. We've increased our consistency, we've taken feedback into consideration, we've improved our communication, and enhanced our connection with our children. We've learned how to foster resilience in our children and how to build gratitude and mindfulness into our homes.
And we've crafted our original action plan, so what's really left to do? Today's valuable because we just bring it all together. Our puzzle is complete. We've reached our destination. [00:01:00] We've achieved clarity and purpose for our parenting journey in 2024, and we're able to walk into the new year with a solid plan to get us from where we are to where we want to be in our families.
I want to acknowledge the impact that this has had in your families already, and how encouraging that should be for everyone else who's watching, but hasn't yet implemented these steps into your homes. I've had multiple parents share that this challenge has been an answer to their prayers, that they came across it at the exact right time.
And it was exactly what they needed and what they'd been asking for. So if that's you, if you're feeling that pull, don't ignore that call. We've had parents experience big and small wins within their homes already, where they've increased decision making skills and eliminated power struggles, where they've increased consistency and seen a positive difference in their child's behavior.
And where they've allowed these steps to make [00:02:00] a change within themselves, within their hearts, within their commitment to showing up and making these things happen. You're on the right path. You're doing great. Just stay committed. You are going to see amazing things happen in your home and in your family and in your children for years to come.
Your final two freebies are the Mastery Handbook, which summarizes each day's key takeaway and commitment step of the entire challenge for easy reference. And then the alignment checklist, which we're going to go through together today to make sure that your action plan is as it should be. The first thing we need is to bring our parenting vision for 2024 up in our minds.
You can pull up your tangible vision board if you created one, your Pinterest board, whatever you wrote down, or you can just start brainstorming right now and remind yourself of what that vision is. Get it clear in your mind. [00:03:00] Now, does that vision resonate with your values and with your priorities?
Now we're going to pull out our action plan from day seven. Does the action plan that you created align with your why? Your action plan is what you're going to do step by step to get you to your vision. And your why is your whole reasoning behind doing this. So they should be in alignment. Review them and just make sure that they are.
Now, does your action plan mirror your vision for 2024? Sometimes when we start doing goals after we've created something, it's easy to get them a little out of alignment. Our action plan should be a very clear A to Z. Step by step, this is the road map to get me to my vision from exactly where I'm at today.
Do the goals that you've come up with and set for yourself [00:04:00] work well together? Make sure you don't have one goal that is going to hinder your ability to achieve another goal. Do your goals meet the SMART requirements? Are they specific? Are they measurable? Are they achievable? Are they relevant? Are they time bound?
Possibly most important of all, have you incorporated your faith into your action plan? Do you have God walking side by side in alignment with the action plan that you've set for your family? Do your goals provide a clear path, that clear A to Z that we talked about, that step by step? To your vision.
Have you broken down your goals into actionable steps? Piece by piece. Are you being flexible with the action steps that you've [00:05:00] created? Do they allow for adaptability? Have you spread them out? In a reasonable way. Are you aware of the fact that if your vision changes, your goals will then change your action steps will then need updated.
Make sure that you remain open minded and you see this as an ever evolving cohesive plan to get you towards your vision. But your plan may change. And this may need to be updated. This is not set in stone. It will evolve with you. It will evolve with your family. And that's it. I promise you short and sweet.
You've done all of the hard work. You've gotten to here. All you have to do is commit. You have to decide. This wasn't just a fun 12 days. Where I filled out all these things and thought about all these things and it was a nice plan. This is something I'm going to hold myself accountable to. Get an accountability partner.
Use the group. [00:06:00] Sign up for the Calm and Confident Club at CovenantCollections. com slash club and be in the membership where you have ongoing coaching support and you've got like minded parents who are committed to the journey with you. Work with someone, if you're married, you've got your spouse, commit to this together, stay focused.
It's not, it's not that hard, but it does require that you are intentional, that you remain accountable, that you stay connected with God, that you stay in alignment with your action plan, you stay in alignment with your values, and You truly do commit. I'm going to do this. I'm going to hold myself accountable to this because if you don't do the things consistently, you can't build the habits.
That will get you where you want to be. I'm very proud of you. I'm very thankful for you. I'm so excited. We got to do this challenge together. I would love to see your feedback.
