day 7
===
[00:00:00] Welcome to day seven, where we'll be taking everything we've learned from the past six days and creating our action plan for parenting in 2024. On this road trip to parenting clarity and purpose, we've accomplished a lot already, but we're not done yet. Today is where we take all of our insights and revelations and we turn them into manageable steps and a solid plan that we can hold ourselves accountable to.
I want you to stay on board for the remainder of our challenge as well because each of the next few days are going to make bringing this action plan to life even easier for you. Each of the next few days are going to prepare you for the obstacles you're likely to face as you work towards creating this life that you want for your family.
We've reached the peak of our planning phase and it's time to dig into how to make these things happen in a way that truly does set you up to win. First, I want [00:01:00] to share some of our challenge feedback and wins so far so that you can see what others are taking away and what insights like minded parents are taking in for their own families.
We have parents learning better ways to listen to their children. Implementing consistency in their routines, accomplishing wins in their homes, making small adjustments to improve communication and receptiveness to feedback. We have parents excited to get started with the Calm and Confident Club VIP so that they can make an even bigger commitment to being the best mom and person that they can be.
Learning self reflection and the importance of finding the root cause of our challenges and becoming more aware of how things affect our children and our relationships with them. The feedback thus far has been so amazing and I really truly love to see it. Keep it up and keep sharing with us in the group so that you all can learn from and [00:02:00] support one another as well.
Today's free resources are the Action Plan Playbook, which we will be working through today, and the Visionary Timeline Template. The playbook is going to help you gather those insights from the past six days and set clear goals that you can then break down into those actionable steps to help you reach your vision.

So I highly encourage you to join us as a founding member Well, that bonus upgrade is available to you at no cost. [00:04:00] Proverbs 16 3 tells us, Commit to the Lord whatever we do and He will establish our plans. The Lord knows our motives, so the intent, the heart, and the human desire behind our plans matters to God when we do this.
I can't think inauthentic reason at the moment why someone would make a plan to be a better parent. It's one of the most Selfless acts of love that we get to experience as humans. It's the closest we can get to understanding the way that Christ loves us and why he gave up his life for us. It's a fraction of the unconditional love that he feels for us.
We're here desiring to be the best parents that we can be out of that unconditional love. And that. Makes a difference. So today we're going to make a plan for our parenting in 2024, but don't forget the most important part, which is committing that plan to the Lord. An action [00:05:00] plan safeguards your vision, and it helps you navigate the complexities of parenthood and life with intentionality.
As we work through our action plan playbook today, we'll touch base on each step that we've taken so far throughout this challenge. So first we go back to our vision. You've learned how to find the answers to each of these questions. So if you get stuck when answering any of the following questions, just revisit that day's lesson and resources to get clear on that area.
And then come back here. If you're working through it with me, while we go through, then just pause while you answer that question and then replay when you're ready. So first question. What is your vision for your family in 2024? This question and the next one came from day one's training. Now you're going to revisit your why, your core values and your priorities.
We always want to remind ourselves of these three things before we [00:06:00] move into the goal setting phases. Now it's time to reflect on and share the strategies that you'll put in place to prevent facing similar challenges from 2023. in 2024. This is the work that you completed on day two of our challenge.
Then we move into the work we did on day three. We're going to reflect on and then determine what our perspective is towards incorporating faith into our parenting approach. And what is our plan for doing so in 2024? Next, you'll reflect on day four. What areas were identified that will benefit from increased consistency in 2024?
And what is your plan for incorporating that consistency in these areas? Then reflect on day five. What did you learn from the family feedback session? What is your plan for taking action on your children's valuable insights [00:07:00] to set goals and make adjustments? Now we have to reflect on day six. What habits and practices from past or present were identified to carry over into the future for ongoing success?
You've gathered all of your thoughts for this challenge thus far. You've committed to transforming your insights and goals into a practical roadmap. By reviewing the insights and goals throughout this training series, you've clarified your priorities for the upcoming year. And with the guidance provided, you're ready to develop a clear and actionable plan.
What were your overall key takeaways thus far? And what moments along the way shifted your perspective? What steps have you already taken based on what you've discovered? What steps are you considering taking? Are you feeling excited? Are you [00:08:00] feeling stressed? Are you a little bit stuck in analysis paralysis?
Or are you super clear, feeling ready to take on the world? Check your mindset before you move into the next step. If it's anything other than ready to go, pause and get clear on whichever piece isn't sitting right with you before you move forward. We need to be clear up to this point to make an action plan that will truly work for us.
If you need any support, Use the group. That's what it's there for and I am more than happy to help. Once you've established your parenting priorities and defined your SMART goals, it's time to transform these aspirations into actionable Now you're ready to start the process of breaking down your goals into manageable tasks for steady and achievable progress.
This approach will make your objectives more attainable and it will also give you more time and space along [00:09:00] the way to identify and celebrate your wins. which we've established is an important part of this process. Consistent and steady progress builds momentum and it keeps you motivated on your journey.
Setting clear timelines is a crucial aspect of turning your goals into reality. The visionary timeline will help you identify those deadlines for each step. Aim for reasonable, well paced, and motivating. This action plan is meant to outline the specific actions that you plan to take, complete with those realistic deadlines.
This can serve as your guide throughout 2024, ensuring that you make consistent strides towards the family life that you envision for yourself. This could look so many different ways depending on what your specific goals are. But for some of you, it's going to be incorporating a family meeting into your weekly routine.
When you utilize your [00:10:00] visionary timeline template to list out what you're going to do and when, and when you break that goal down into actionable, achievable, and manageable steps, it could be something like, on January 1st, we have our first family meeting and we get clear on the expectations. We let everyone share their thoughts, and we discuss the best availability for everyone and their ideas.
Then on February 1st, we meet again and we get a family calendar to hang in a visible space in our house that has our family meetings scheduled on it. And this is something that works for everyone and the family commits to making this a priority each week. You can incorporate bi weekly meetings at that point.
By March, you commit to having those meetings every single week. You put them on everyone's digital calendars as well, and you start to implement feedback for how to make these as efficient and engaging as possible. [00:11:00] You don't have to start everything at full capacity on day one. Take your goals and make them work for you.
Break them into as many steps as you might need. We can make a lot of amazing changes in our families over the next year, but we probably can't make them all at once. So let's not get ourselves overwhelmed or hinder our ability to set ourselves up for success by trying to do everything at once. Now you've created a practical roadmap and you've got your action plan.
This is what you need to parent with clarity and purpose in 2024 and make your vision for your family. A happy reality. The next few days won't require as much work from you, so don't worry, but they will require a willingness to show up and learn new skills. These new skills can be incorporated along the way to ensure your success and set yourself up to win when it comes to [00:12:00] bringing this plan to life.
There's a couple things I'd love for you to do. First, please go ahead and subscribe to our channel while you're here so that we can stay connected. And second, I want you to head over to the free Facebook group for your homework today. My request is a little interesting. I want you to ask a question. It could be something you've already worked through while you went through this challenge or something you're still wondering.
But you've hesitated to ask, but I promise if it's crossed your mind, it's on someone else's as well. Go to the pinned Q& A post and leave a question. That way, when I create the Q& A video, I'm covering everything that anyone currently or in the future may want or need to know as they work their way through this challenge.
That would be a huge help. And that will be your giveaway entry for today as well. I'll see you there and I'll see you tomorrow for Nurturing Communication and Connection.
